In the general sense marketing strategies are specifically laid out blueprint policies that afford a business organization the opportunity to conduct a realistic allocation of its scarce resources in the areas that have the potential to bring about significant returns to the said business organization. Undoubtedly, increased returns also enhance a firm’s competitive edge in an industry. The ultimate goal of every realistic marketing strategy is to give premium to customer satisfaction.
The effectiveness of every marketing strategy is gauged by how it is able to completely how the firm or company will engage its customers which includes both current and prospective ones as well as its real and perceived competitors in a meaningful manner so as to achieve the corporate goals and missions of the business organization in question. Most often than not, marketing strategies usually stern out of the corporate strategies of corporations which is also directly linked with the sales policy and general mission statement.
Typically, the marketing strategy serves as the main building blocks of the marketing plans of business entities. Unlike the marketing strategy, the marketing plan is a complete itemization of detailed and precise steps that will eventually lead to the prudent implementation and monitoring of a marketing strategy.
Basically, a strategy provides the laid down steps or schemes that can make a marketing plan not just realistic but also workable with the capacity to meet the needs of the specific market.
In conventional terms an organization’s marketing strategy creates a platform through which the salient features of the marketing goals, policies and implementation schemes are harmonized into a comprehensive workable document. Most strategies will for instance feature aspects of channel marketing, advertising, public relations and promotions.
Contemporary marketing gyrates around the ability to prudently manage the scarcity of factors amidst an environment of high uncertainty with regards to information. To this end marketing professionals are resigned to the application of classical marketing theories and techniques to deal with the circumstances as they arise. In the business world for instance, a new product might result as an outcome of a sudden change in a particular trend which may be positive or negative. This will automatically trigger a response to counter this. Among other things, managers and marketers will contemplate the introduction of an advertisement as a direct response to this trend or preferably modify an existing advertisement to reflect this changing trend. Not all the advertisement may be followed by ingenious packaging before the product is introduced unto the market. In tandem to the foregoing, it should be noted that in the real world situation marketing professionals are products of their intuitive minds and occasionally counting on experience in their bid to meet the market challenges.

J. Lee Thompson’s Cape Fear (1962) was a great thriller movie, which inspired the American director Martin Scorsese to make again the movie in 1991. If we compare the two movies in the perspective of view, we will find some acute variation.
If it is compared the main two roles of the films Max Cady and Sam Bowden, we will find there some differences in their individual character. Max Cady was appeared as quiet and patient but highly revengeful in mind in the first film, but Scorsese represented him as a cartoon snarling with white-trash venom. Thompson represented Bowden as an well committed father and husband respectively for his daughter and wife, where his daughter ‘Nancy’ was 14 years old and wife ‘Peggy’ was a housewife; but Scorsese represented Bowden sometimes as unfaithful towards his family, where Bowden probably had an affair with his fellow. Scorsese also brought changes in Bowden’s wife ‘Leigh’ who was a professional women and his daughter ‘Danielle’ who was 15 years old. The character of Bowden’s daughter is comparatively different between two films, such as; the first movie represented her as an innocent, so defenseless and filled up with terror due to the terrifying attitude of Cady, where in the second film she was an advanced and sexually conscious, as why induced sexually by Cady. The story of both the two films is comparable too. In both film Max Cady was a serial rapist and imprisoned by the lawyer Sam Bowden, which induced him to take revenge on Bowden. But the difference is Bowden, who was the eyewitness of Cady’s rape in the earlier film, which imprisoned Cady for eight years, but in the latter film Bowden was the lawyer who convicted Cady as the rapist, which imprisoned Cady for fourteen years. After getting out from jail Cady started serial rape and taking revengeful actions on Bowden’s family. Bowden hired a private detective to be escaped from Cady. The detective wasn’t ever watched by Bowden in the first one, but contra in the second. Cady though wanted to take revenge on Bowden, but never attacked Bowden’s family at home in the earlier, where he murdered Bowden’s housekeeper and private detective in their kitchen in the latter. Thompson involved police directly in favor of Bowden to defeat Cady’s approach, but Scorsese didn’t do this to represent Bowden as helpless and to make him as a real hero. In the first movie the first fight between Cady and Bowden happened at the houseboat, in the second movie it was in a public procession. In the first version Bowden tried to kill Cady only at the houseboat, but in the second version he tried it also in his home, where he killed Cady and ran away from there by houseboat without knowing that Cady was not dead and following them.

In 1984, a n?w d?adly dis?as? struck Africa, which at? th? fat off all its victims, l?aving th?m with littl? mor? than th?ir sk?l?ton, prompting th? nativ?s to nicknam? this dis?as? "Slim." "Slim" rapidly d?v?lop?d from a localiz?d matt?r to a full-blown contin?ntal ?pid?mic, adapting th? mor? sci?ntifically appropriat? nam?, Acquir?d Immun? D?fici?ncy Syndrom? (WorldBook). AIDS is caus?d by th? Human Immunod?fici?ncy Virus, mor? commonly known as HIV. This dis?as?, th? origin of which r?mains unknown, has d?vastat?d much of Africa, ?sp?cially th? sub-Saharan s?ction, for th? past 20 y?ars. D?spit? th? fact that th? dis?as? oblit?rat?d a larg? portion of th? population ov?r th?s? past y?ars and will continu? to do so, it has only b??n in r?c?nt y?ars that most gov?rnm?nts, both African and W?st?rn, hav? r?ally b?gun to tak? th? first st?ps of solving this probl?m.
AIDS spr?ad across Africa lik? wildfir?, though its primary zon? of inf?ction has b??n sub-Saharan Africa. 24.5 million of th? 34.3 million cas?s of AIDS in th? world today com? from sub-Saharan Africa, wh?r? 11,000 p?opl? ar? inf?ct?d p?r day (2). Th?s? ar?as ar? ?xp?ct?d to s?? an astonishing d?cr?as? in lif? ?xp?ctancy in th? coming y?ars. In Zimbabw? for ?xampl?, th? lif? ?xp?ctancy in 2005 is suppos?d to b? about 61 y?ars. How?v?r in 2010, that numb?r is pr?dict?d to plumm?t to about 33 y?ars (3). Ov?r 10% of th? populations ag?s 15 through 49 in sixt??n African countri?s ar? now inf?ct?d with HIV or AIDS. As a r?sult of losing so many productiv? m?mb?rs of th?ir soci?ti?s, th?s? countri?s can ?xp?ct a significant d?cr?as? in ?conomic output (5) and an incr?as? in orphans. Th?s? countri?s includ? K?nya, wh?r? 15% of th? adult population is inf?ct?d, Namibia, wh?r? 22.5% ar? sick, Swaziland, 33.4%, and a stagg?ring 38.8% ar? ill in Botswana (4). In South Africa, 5 million of th? adults (20.1%) 15 through 49 ar? inf?ct?d, th? high?st numb?r of any country in th? world (D?ath Stalks).
So how did this initial outbr?ak of AIDS b?com? an ?pid?mic in Africa, ravaging many countri?s of th? contin?nt, whil? it was abl? to b? som?what contain?d ?v?rywh?r? ?ls? it ?m?rg?d? Th? main factors w?r? lack of ?ducation, pov?rty, and insuffici?nt m?dical att?ntion (1). Africans kn?w littl? on how to prot?ct th?ms?lv?s from this d?adly dis?as?. Whil? most countri?s, including a f?w African, hastily initiat?d pr?v?ntion programs as soon as AIDS brok? out, r?sulting in som?what of a containm?nt of th? dis?as? and a g?n?ral stabilization of d?aths, many countri?s in Africa, ?sp?cially sub-Saharan, still do not hav? suffici?nt pr?v?ntion programs, informing p?opl? how to avoid contracting AIDS (Murphy, pg. 42).

To illustrate how a firm can maximize its profit through the efficient use of the factors of production available to it, I will consider the case of a hypothetical firm called Tiza Enterprise. This firm in question specialises in the production of food and beverage products for a local market. In order to lucidly explain this concept my essay will be built on a few foundational assumptions such as the principle of scarcity and opportunity cost.
Within the scope of this essay opportunity cost will be narrowed down to the task of making choices between a list of competing alternative choices of the factors of production measured against the cost factor in any of the choices to be made.
Explicit and implicit cost factors have been provided for in the operational and organizational structure of Tiza Enterprise.
The managers of Tiza Enterprise are not also oblivious of the fact that they are operating in a highly competitive industry which makes it imperative for them not to compromise on maintaining and possibly improving both economic and technological efficiency principles in their quest to minimize cost whilst maximizing profit.
Labour is an important cost factor, which can be manipulated with competitent managerial expertise to achieve the goals of the firm. To this end, in deciding on the firm’s labour hiring policy, Tiza enterprise hires the quantity of labour that is tantamount to the marginal revenue product and marginal factor costs in direct consonance with the going factor market price. Take for instance, the current going factor market price is $15 then Tiza Enterprise hires labour in an incremental system until marginal revenue product reaches $15. At this point it can be conveniently said that Tiza Enterprise has gone beyond the break-even level and now achieving a harmony between factor price and marginal revenue product and is thus operating efficiently.

Je?nnette W?lls grew up with p?rents whose ide?ls ?nd obstin?te eccentricity were both their blight ?nd their esc?pe. Rex ?nd Rose M?ry W?lls h?d four children. In the beginning, they lived like migr?nts, moving ?mong Southwest desert towns, c?mping in the mount?ins. Rex w?s ? m?gnetic, r?di?nt m?n who, when ?bstemious, c?ptured his children's thoughts, co?ching them physics, geology, ?nd ?bove ?ll, how to hold in your ?rms one’s life cour?geously. Rose M?ry, who p?inted ?nd wrote ?nd couldn't st?nd the ?ccount?bility of ? condition th?t for her f?mily, c?lled herself ?n "exhil?r?tion f?n?tic." Cooking something to e?t th?t would be frenzied in fifteen minutes h?d no dem?nd when she could m?ke ? p?inting th?t might l?st etern?lly.
W?lls, who spent ye?rs trying to hide her childhood experiences, ?llows the story to spill out in this rem?rk?ble recollection of growing up. From her current perspective ?s ? contributor to MSN?C online, she remembers the poverty, hunger, jokes, ?nd bullying she ?nd her siblings endured, ?nd she looks b?ck ?t her p?rents: her flighty, self-indulgent mother, ? Polly?nn? unwilling to ?ssume the responsibilities of p?renting, ?nd her f?ther, troubled, brilli?nt Rex, whose ?bility to turn his f?mily’s downw?rd spir?ling circumst?nces into ?dventures ?llowed his children to excuse his imperfections until they grew old enough to underst?nd wh?t he h?d done to them—?nd to himself. His gr?nd pl?ns to build ? home for the f?mily never evolved: the hole for the found?tion of the “The Gl?ss C?stle,” ?s the dre?m house w?s c?lled bec?me the f?mily g?rb?ge dump, ?nd, of course, ? met?phor for Rex W?lls’ life. Shocking, s?d, ?nd occ?sion?lly bitter, this gr?cefully written ?ccount spe?ks c?ndidly, yet with surprising ?ffection, ?bout p?rents ?nd ?bout the strength of f?mily ties—for both good ?nd ill.
Je?nnette W?lls begins her memoirs with ? poign?nt moment ?s she rides in ? t?xi to ?n event in New York City, ?nd spots her homeless mother digging through the tr?sh bins. This memoir is one you will h?ve trouble putting down. You will feel you ?re right there with W?lls ?s you re?d through her growing ye?rs, ?s she survived ? set of p?rents who, despite their intelligence, were b?rely ?ble to c?re for themselves let ?lone four children. W?lls’ first memory is th?t of being on fire from trying to cook hotdogs, ?t the ?ge of three.
Her f?ther would rouse them in the middle of the night to "pull up st?kes" ?nd they would p?ck their me?ger belongings ?nd he?d out to wherever they might end up. They were doing the "sked?ddle", ?s her d?d would s?y, to ?void the people who were ?fter them. They moved from pl?ce to pl?ce, sleeping outside, in their c?r, in sh?cks in the desert towns of the southwest.

The Life of James Baldwin

Born in Harlem, New York in 1924, James Baldwin rose from the scrap heaps of poverty to literary prominence through diligence in his chosen profession. He was born an illegitimate child to a mother who was employed as a menial domestic worker and a brutal foster father who subjected him to massive abuse. Clearly, the early life of this prolific one, notwithstanding this, he cultivated a strong reading habit that served as the breeding ground for his eventual eminence as a celebrated writer.
As a teenager, he got converted to the Christian faith and eventually becoming the official preacher of a small local Pentecostal church. During this period of his life, the Youngman had a dual exposure to the horrors of life blindfolded under the guise of religious emancipation. Situations lead him into a long wondrous journey that took him into places in mainland Europe such as France and Switzerland. Along these journeys, his understanding of the root causes of the existent racially inspired social order that prevailed in America owe its origin to a place. In Europe James Baldwin was discontented with the apparent feeling of loneliness and being alien. Appalled by these events his resolve to wrestle down the system became crystallized, hence his resolve to return to America from Europe to join in the ongoing civil rights struggle. His most significant contribution was the active role he played in advocating against the desegregation policy in Southern schools.

The Works of James Baldwin
It is evident from the foregoing that the voracious reading habit of young James Baldwin did play a significant role in developing his literary skills. For instance at an early teenage life, his skills were sprouting as his writings begun to receive publishing attention. His major debut was published in a local church journal. It should be stated that, James Baldwin did not have it all rosy in his quest to become a writing guru. It is on record that, he encountered a series of frustrations from publishers who declined to accept his work on grounds that are as flimsy as the policy that influenced the social order. In similar situations the growing writer became the target of a series of tongue lashing press campaigns. Some of the reviews written about his work in papers like the New York Times were not particularly pleasant. These however never dampened his resolve and enthusiasm.
Of all his writings the ace James Baldwin is particularly reputed for authoring the fictional novel “Go tell it on the mountain.” A novel that is written in a semi-autobiographical fashion bringing to the fore the saga of secret sins, guilt and religious hostility in an atmosphere characterized by gross level of social injustice.

The Washington Post and involvement in Watergate

This documentary examining the events leading to the Watergate Scandals during the Nixon Presidency from about 1972 to President Nixon’s eventual resignation from office in 1974. It focuses on the role of the Washington Post during this period and their involvement in exposing the break-in of the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C. through an anonymous ally referred to as Deep Throat who offered them information suggesting Federal corruption and abuse of power.
The movie focuses on President Nixon and shows actual footage of appearances he made during and after the discovery of the scandals. It also highlights key players in the Watergate scandals including H.R. Halderman and John Ehrlichman who were two of Nixon’s most influential aids in the White House as well campaign manager of the republican party, Herbert Porter and Nixon’s personal lawyer, Herbert Kalmbach. Seven more men were indicted for conspiring to cover up the Watergate investigation and numerous more plead guilty in later days for crimes ranging from perjury, lying to the grand jury, conspiracy, mishandling of campaign funds and political espionage and sabotage.
Using actual footage taken by various news agencies during this period and testimony of witnesses involved in the investigation, the documentary pieces together the scandals in an understandable manner to show what happened, the reactions to the discovery of abuse of power in the White House and the aftermath of the Watergate scandal. The collection of footage, recordings and testimonies form a compilation of clips that put together the whole story, complete with uncovering the person behind the nickname Deep Throat. The documentary also interviews key journalists from The Washington Post whose involvement in the Watergate investigation helped to uncover justice.
Focus is given to the Deputy Director of the FBI at the time, William Mark Felt, Sr. who is the man behind the Deep Throat name. His information given to the Post was crucial in catching the illegal break-in into the Democratic National Party Headquarter at the Watergate Hotel Complex although his identity remained a mystery until 2005 for security reasons. The massive coverage by The Washington Post fueled focus on the crimes and investigations and exponentially increased the profile of the crimes as well as the repercussions. This marked a new role for the media in providing unbiased information for the general public and not being influenced by federal regulations or government authorities—the media is thus able to hold the leaders accountable to the people they represent by exposing their actions and prohibiting abuse of power to such an atrocious degree.

In most countries around the world, pets are usually considered to be members of the family. This is why buying pet insurance for them has become quite popular in some regions. These policies are generally used for most domestic pets such as dogs, cats, and birds, etc. There are many companies who offer this type of insurance and there are various coverage plans available to pet owners.

Some firms will offer to insure pets no matter what their age is or what type of breed they are. Most of them offer accident and illness coverage for as long as the pet lives. Pet insurance will allow owners to customize the coverage to fit their pet's needs as well as the person's budget. The policies generally cover a specified percentage of veterinary treatment and care.

Some policies may also include coverage for dental, behavioural treatment, therapy, and medical devices, etc. Some of them even take care of things such as kennel fees, and lost pet advertising costs. The type of coverage you take will reflect in the price. As with all types of insurance, the more coverage you have the more it will cost.

Pet insurance is a good investment for just about all pet owners ad animals are subject to just as many illnesses and accidents as humans are. A healthy pet can suddenly become sick overnight and may then need costly veterinary care to nurse it back to health.

Because pet insurance is relatively new, it's a good idea to make sure you know exactly how the coverage works to protect your pet. You should ask as many questions as needed until you're perfectly clear on what the policy does and doesn't cover. This means you need to read all of the fine print that's included in the contract.

If you're interested in insuring your pets it's generally considered to be a good idea to buy the coverage shortly after the animal's born or after you acquire it. This means the pet is healthy and should have no pre-existing conditions. You will now have the peace of mind that the pet is insured for the rest of its life.

There are a lot of sites on the internet that deal in this type of coverage and there are many more that have information and articles about it. This is a good way to do some research and learn exactly how the insurance works. You may also be interested in reading some reviews and testimonials on the companies you might be interested in dealing with.

Most pet insurance websites will have full descriptions of the types of policies they offer and what they include. This will allow you to compare coverage and prices from several providers. Many of the websites will also allow you to submit information about the pet to receive a free online quote. Buying coverage for pets is becoming more popular everyday and it seems that more and more animal lovers can see the advantages to buying coverage for their furry friends.
